Just in time for World Intellectual Property Day, the newly founded platform Austria creative presents itself to the public. The objective of this independent organisation is to increase visibility of the economic significance of the cultural and creative industries in Austria and to represent the needs and interests of rights holders and rights users.

Today GESAC held the first General Meeting of 2018, where Board elections were held. The results of the election of the GESAC Board for the two coming years are as follows:
CISAC, GESAC’s sister organisation representing creators globally, will start a trilingual global online course on copyright history on 14th May, together with FutureLearn. “Exploring Copyright” will last for four weeks and provides certification upon completion of the course requirements.
