In response to the EP plenary vote on the DSA Regulation, and in support of the concerns of audiovisual authors in particular, GESAC has joined the audiovisual/film sector in deploring the missed opportunity to make internet intermediaries more accountable and creating a safer, better-functioning online environment for all.
In view of this week’s Plenary vote on the Digital Services Act (DSA), GESAC together with 28 rightholders’ organisations from a a range of diverse sectors issued a statement calling on the European Parliament not to miss the opportunity to create a more trustworthy Internet.
It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli on 11 January.
President Sassoli has been an untiring advocate for culture, which he considered an essential element of the European project. (more…)
