CISAC celebrates its 90th anniversary

Celebrating its 90th anniversary today, CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, was welcomed at the Hôtel de Matignon, the French Prime Minister’s official Residence for a reception. The President of CISAC Jean-Michel Jarre and some 100 invitees, including many internationally-renowned creators from all over the world, were present at this event hosted by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.

Manuel Valls reiterated his support for copyright/authors’ rights and called it “vital to protect creation”. The issue of transfer of value was also raised, emphasising once again the urgency of this matter for authors worldwide.
