MTA: President Sassoli champions culture and creative industries

The President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, was enthusiastically supportive of culture and the creative industries when speaking to attendees of Meet the Authors on 25 September.

The event, organised by MEP Christian Ehler and GESAC, was held in support of the re-establishment of the Cultural and Creative Industries Intergroup.

President Sassoli declared: “Creative freedom is naturally coupled with the freedom of expression and the freedom of culture and Europe strongly supports creativity and creative industries through some of its programs. I have no doubts that this will be confirmed by the Parliament”.
