Vision
Our vision is of a world that fully recognises the value of cultural and creative sector as an indispensable part of our societies and protects the rights of creators, who are at the source of this value chain, through the development of a sustainable creative and cultural ecosystem.
Challenges
GESAC’s main challenge is to stay abreast of relevant EU policy and convene a large network of authors’ societies to coordinate efforts towards a sustainable creative and cultural ecosystem. Our mission is to advocate for adequate remuneration for creators and promote collective management as the best solution to respect and protect authors’ rights.
The protection of authors’rights is essential: without this, creators wouldn’t be paid for the use of their work
